In short

Take the leap and redefine the future of sports good production with us. Lead groundbreaking projects to develop and scale cutting-edge processes and products. Invent, optimize, automate and develop machines, to shape the future of manufacturing. Beside concept development and prototyping of new manufacturing technologies on a lab scale, you will lead the technology engineering, development scale up towards commercial production.

Your Mission

  • Your mission is to lead the development of disruptive processes to enable unprecedented novel product performance and/or enable more efficient, sustainable and agile manufacturing.
  • Next to your team members that explore process and product ideas, you are the expert in translating and developing these ideas into scalable manufacturing technologies.
  • By using your interdisciplinary mechanical and process engineering know-how, you come up with new manufacturing solutions, (e.g. inspired by other industries) to break boundaries regarding the ease, speed, agility and sustainability of sports good manufacturing.
  • With an entrepreneurial mindset and your hands on mentality, you’ll work independently and flexibly, tackling challenging projects from concept to practical implementation and scale up.
  • You’ll provide creative solutions to seemingly impossible problems and manage the relationships to our most important development, engineering and production partners.
  • Through continuous innovation, you’ll push the boundaries of materials, technology, and processes, while keeping the big picture in mind.

Your story

  • Proven experience in executing end-to-end development projects.
  • Proven track record of completing projects working with robotics, automating processes or processing images for robot control.
  • Advanced knowledge in practical mechanical engineering and robotics (operation and maintenance), automation, polymers or another related field. (digital inkjet printing (GIS software) experience is a plus)
  • Experience with the application of colors and graphics, and an ability to assess quality and accuracy of print results.
  • Advanced knowledge in robotics (programming and employment), machine learning and vision, with an affinity towards (graphic) design.
  • Solid experience working with 3D, CAD tools (experience with computational design tools are a plus)
  • You have an innovative mindset with a strong drive to pushing the boundaries of product and process engineering 3-5 years experience as (robotics) engineer in the tech industry (or similar field)
  • You have experience in working with external development partners to develop and scale up new manufacturing technologies
  • Experience/Skills in employing industrial robots so they can quickly learn the ropes on our current workflow (required for at least this year)
  • You are able to work independently under a deadline on several projects simultaneously requiring both innovative ideas and engineering problem-solving
  • You have excellent communication skills and comfort adapting communication style between engineers, designers, product experts and cross-functional non-product creation partners

Exploration – it’s literally our day job. We dive into the ideas of tomorrow head-first and see what we surface with. Sometimes they work. Sometimes they don’t. But it’s always a rush when we discover something new.
