Our Direct to Consumer business is performing and growing strongly, which is why we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to scale On’s online business to the next level. As an experienced engineer, you will be responsible to build, deploy, test and operate our digital infrastructure.

In this role, you will play a critical part in developing, implementing, and maintaining a best-in-class conversational commerce solution that enhances our customer's shopping end-to-end journey. You will join a specialized interdisciplinary team that is responsible for evolving the customer experience for On by applying the breakthroughs in Large Language models and Generative AI in a production environment.

Your Mission

  • Build, test and operate the conversational commerce stack for On Develop and deliver end-to-end features across both the frontend and backend, while contributing to decisions on products, tools, and third-party APIs
  • Engage with the engineering guild and technology leadership to enable the team to make good long term technical decisions
  • Build robust, scalable APIs to support the interaction between our core system and AI models.
  • Actively collaborate with Data Science, Design, Product, Customer service teams to identify and leverage trade-offs in a fast-paced highly iterative environment
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in NLP, LLMs, RAG pipelines, multi-modal experiences and Generative AI

Your story

  • Hands-on experience with modern programming languages on the frontend and backend including Javascript frameworks, NodeJS, Python etc.
  • Experience with using GraphQL in a production
  • Experience with building apps that use LLMs, RAG pipeline and other Generative AI toolchain
  • Familiarity with web development frameworks, such as Vue, React or Angular in production environment is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of modern web browser for desktop and mobile, including performance and rendering optimization
  • Experience with testing, deploying and running production workload, monitoring systems and troubleshooting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and can collaborate effectively with in-person and remote teams

About the Team

As you might expect from a running brand, the E-Commerce team at On is a fast-paced place to be. You will work in a team with other Software Engineers and Product Managers. You will collaborate with roles including Designers, Data Analytics, Marketing and others.
