Take the leap and redefine the future of sportswear with us. Invent, build, optimize, automate, and develop systems to shape the future of manufacturing. Beside concept development and prototyping of new manufacturing technologies on a lab scale, you will work on the technology engineering and development scale up towards commercial production. The position will be based in Busan, South Korea, and will require frequent travel within South Korea, the APAC region, and to Zurich.

Your Mission

  • Drive innovation and Spearhead the development of groundbreaking processes that will not only unlock unprecedented product performance but also pave the way for a future of dramatically more efficient, sustainable, and agile manufacturing within a dynamic team of innovation engineers.

  • As the resident expert in translating and scaling innovative ideas into robust, manufacturing technologies and machine constructions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sports good manufacturing.

  • By leveraging your interdisciplinary expertise in mechanical and process engineering, you'll forge new manufacturing solutions, drawing inspiration from diverse industries, to shatter existing limitations on speed, agility, sustainability, and ease of production.

  • With an entrepreneurial spirit and a hands-on approach, you will independently and flexibly tackle challenging projects, guiding them from initial concept through practical implementation and ultimately to large-scale robotic deployment.

  • Through continuous innovation and strategic exploration of new partnerships, you will push the boundaries of materials, technology, and processes.

  • You will find unconventional ways of solving footwear manufacturing challenges by creatively and proactively explore unpaved roads.

Your story

  • Hands-on experience in product and process development

  • Proven ability to build and automate machines

  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering, CAD, automation, and PLC programming

  • Familiarity with robotics and mechatronics in manufacturing

  • Understanding of polymers and their processing

  • Innovative mindset

  • 5+ years of engineering experience

  • Experience managing external development stakeholders and scaling up manufacturing technologies

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

  • Excellent communication and cross-cultural skills

About the Team

Dream On Labs is responsible for On's future products and athlete-informed technology. You will join a team focused on concept creation for novel manufacturing processes and products and be part of an agile, entrepreneurial, and interdisciplinary department.
