As we expand globally, our retail and digital infrastructure needs robust, scalable solutions built on Dynamics 365 Commerce. We’re seeking a D365 Commerce Developer specialized in Point of Sale (POS) and Commerce Scale Unit (CSU) development to power seamless retail experiences and enable our omnichannel ambitions.

Your Mission

D365 Commerce Development (POS & CSU Focus):

  • Lead and deliver end-to-end technical solutions within Dynamics 365 Commerce, with a focus on Store Commerce customizations, CRT extensions, and Commerce Scale Unit (CSU) APIs
  • Customize and extend components of the Retail SDK to align with evolving business requirements
  • Implement enhancements to the Channel Database, Retail Server, and Hardware Station to improve store performance and reliability
  • Build integrations between CSU and external systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, Inventory services e.g. RFID) using X++, C#, TypeScript, and Azure services

Solution Design & Architecture:

  • Collaborate closely with our Functional Consultants to translate complex retail requirements into scalable Commerce solutions
  • Actively contribute to designing and implementing technical architecture patterns for high-availability CSU deployments and resilient POS operations
  • Work closely with the business, infrastructure and DevOps teams to streamline releases and deployments

Technical Leadership:

  • Write clean, efficient, well-documented code while ensuring adherence to performance and security standards
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce SDK best practices, and eventually guide junior developers in Commerce-specific development
  • Stay current on Microsoft's D365 Commerce roadmap and contribute to architectural decisions
  • You are an expert in customising the POS, CRT and Channel DB using the Commerce SDK

Operational Support & Optimization:

  • Troubleshoot CSU synchronization issues, POS performance lags, and transactional discrepancies in real-time leaveraging telemetry data and Application Insights
  • Monitor Commerce environments and proactively resolve bottlenecks or system faults
  • Ensure uptime and resilience of POS and CSU infrastructure in a global retail context

Your story

  • 3+ years of experience in Dynamics 365 Commerce development with hands-on expertise in POS and CSU architecture
  • Deep knowledge of the Commerce SDK, CRT customization, Channel DB, Retail Server, and Hardware Station
  • Proficient in .NET, X++, C#, TypeScript, and integration patterns using REST APIs and Azure Functions
  • Experience working with Store Commerce/CPOS customizations across multiple geographies (experience with iOS is a plus)
  • Familiarity with retail domain challenges like omnichannel inventory visibility, offline-first functionality, store sync, and failover scenarios
  • Skilled in using Azure DevOps, LCS, and agile development methodologies
  • Ability to translate functional retail requirements into robust technical solutions with a strong understanding of in-store operations
