As Senior Team Leader in Costing, your core responsibilities would be driving cost compensivity, aligning costing standards and costing guidelines across the supplier base, partnering with product creation to achieve a seasonal profit margin. As a member of the globally integrated supply chain team and cross-functional apparel organization, you will be based in Hanoi City, Vietnam, with frequent travel within Asia & to our key factory partners

Your Mission

  • Taking lead to analysis the data base in global sourcing and supplier base, set the benchmark and guideline for costing. Communicate proactively internally with product creation to enable RFT creation.

  • Build up a labor cost benchmark in a seasonal base by considering the global and regional labor costs and economic finance data.

  • Independently conduct seasonal price negotiations with suppliers for manufacturing, component, and process costs

  • Build strong partnerships with suppliers, track their performance based on costing accuracy and efficiency, and collaborate with suppliers and product development for improvement to achieve seasonal profit margin.

  • Track, analyze, and benchmark factory manufacturing and development overhead costs.

  • Document and manage inputs to product costing, such as raw material prices, material waste impacts, construction/labor costs, and profit margin amortization

  • Partner with product management, material, and development teams through the product development cycle and line reviews to achieve margin goals.

  • Collaborate with the supply chain team on product volume forecasts, identify potential bottlenecks, and actively search for volume discount opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate and complete costing data on PLM systems.

  • Leading Costing projects globally from end-to-end business perspective, from

  • Project Initiation / Planning to project communication (externally and internally), tracking and project implementation

Your story

  • At least 10 years of apparel or relative textile costing background, preferably with 3-4 years in a manufacturing environment and 3~5 years in international brand.

  • Excellent data analysis skill.

  • Knowledgeable in apparel/textile manufacturing process and set up.

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multicultural teams.

  • Proficiency in English is a must.

  • An entrepreneurial and open mindset, an eagerness for differentiation, and a natural push for excellence.

  • Able to balance creativity with organization and discipline in a fast-paced environment.

About the Team

You will be part of a dynamic, cross-functional team of development, material management, quality, and production in On’s Asia Sourcing Office for Apparel. The apparel and accessory business is growing fast, so you will be working very closely with the product development team and reporting to the Apparel Development Head for Sourcing.
