As the Lead - Footwear Pattern Engineer of the sourcing office based in Vietnam, you are making an impact from day one to manage footwear product development and engineering with our manufacturing partners for the next level of On’s products.
-Establish pattern guidelines and ensure consistent implementation across all development centers.
-Develop precise footwear patterns for key styles based on designer sketches or concepts.
-Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support during product development meetings.
-Conduct pattern audits at each line review stage, ensuring alignment with aesthetic, comfort, and performance requirements.
-Optimize key style patterns to improve production efficiency, minimize material waste, and reduce costs.
-Lead the pattern commercialization process, maintaining technical accuracy and production feasibility while upholding design integrity.
-Ensure pattern grading adheres to production standards and aligns with material properties.
-Oversee product development and commercialization timelines to guarantee on-time deliveries.
-Champion On’s commitment to Premium Quality and sustainability, ensuring industry-leading standards in pattern engineering across all products.
-Proficient in CAD software (e.g., CRISPIN, ShoeMaster) and 2D/3D design tools, with the ability to create and refine precise patterns.
-Strong expertise in footwear manufacturing processes, material properties, and pattern engineering.
-Able to balance creativity with structure, maintaining efficiency and organization in a fast-paced environment.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively across teams and departments.
-This position is based in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi and requires frequent travel to On’s manufacturing partners.
-Fluency in English is essential, as it is our working language.
