Retail - Associate Store Leader, Vienna

In short

This is your opportunity to become a core part of On’s Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team and take on the responsibility to co-lead On’s first store in Austria. As one of the first hires of the Vienna store team, On will rely on you to help co-define the various store operation processes ahead of the opening.

Once the doors have opened, you will be in charge of the store’s overall performance and delivering exceptional customer service every day. You will oversee all store related operations from inventory management to IT systems to customer flows and product training, as well as all internal team related responsibilities.

Your Mission

  • Ensure optimal stock levels and inventory accuracy by proactively monitoring sell-through rates and product flow strategy in store.
  • Ensure smooth transitions by planning visual change-outs in advance and addressing any visual updates for sell through optimization on a daily basis.
  • Oversee all talent-related matters including time tracking, payroll, absence, conduct, and performance.
  • Ensure effective in-store training delivered by the training lead. Implement development plans for team leads to support their professional growth and performance.
  • Lead recruitment for lead advisors and advisors, and deliver a strong onboarding process for new hires.
  • Ensure optimum team coverage by creating and managing schedules.
  • Implement action plans to maintain high team engagement based on feedback from engagement surveys.
  • Maintain high stock accuracy and operational efficiency through effective BoH strategies.
  • Lead the development and management of the BoH team.
  • Ensure smooth transportation of products in collaboration with the product operations team.
  • Oversee stock counts, managing all aspects from preparation to investigation of discrepancies.

    Your story

    • 3-5 years of experience in retail operations or a customer-focused environment.
    • 2+ years of experience leading teams, managing projects, or driving performance improvement initiatives.
    • Experience in the Outlet, Running, Fashion, or Sports industry is a plus, but a passion for these areas is essential.
    • You possess an entrepreneurial growth mindset, eager to challenge the status quo with an appetite for relentless improvement.
    • You have a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
    • You have strong experience in project management, coordinating cross-functional teams from start to finish.
    • Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
    • Ability to read, write and speak German and English fluently is required.

    In this role, you will support the fastest-growing global sports brand in expanding and optimizing its retail store operations. Working alongside Retail Operations, Retail Tech, Retail Training, and the global DTC Retail team, you will elevate store processes and drive operational excellence. You will collaborate with store teams to manage and communicate store workload across departments, steer special projects, ensure smooth technical operations, and implement omni-channel opportunities in our retail stores.     What we offer

    The salary for this position depends on experience. The minimum salary for this full-time position (38.5 hours per week) is therefore at least € 3,086 gross per month (all-in contract).
