Lead - Retail Financial Controller (8-month contract)

As we rapidly expand our Retail channels, we are looking for a results-focused, collaborative, and strategic finance professional to join our dynamic team as the Lead - Retail Financial Controlling on an 8-month fixed-term contract.

This role acts as a key financial partner to Retail Operations and cross-functional stakeholders, with responsibility for driving planning, reporting, analysis, and system/process improvements across the global Retail business. The Retail Controlling Lead will play a critical role in ensuring transparency of the Retail P&L, delivering actionable insights, and enabling informed decision-making to support the channel’s long-term growth ambitions.

Your Mission

Planning & Forecasting:

  • Lead all retail planning cycles (budget, forecasts, long-range plan), leveraging business driver KPIs and consolidating inputs across regions and functions to ensure alignment with channel strategy and targets.

Reporting & Performance Management:

  • Own financial reporting (month-/quarter-end, long-term), ensuring high quality and timely submission. Delivering analysis, commentary, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Expansion Cases:

  • Partner with Real Estate Controlling on pro-forma inputs into new store investments.

Analysis & Insights:

  • Drive actionable insights on sales, costs, and profitability, including deep dives and robust reporting into key drivers (e.g., personnel productivity, cost benchmarks) to enhance efficiency and margins.

Systems & Processes:

  • Improve planning and reporting tools (e.g., Anaplan), streamline processes, and ensure data accuracy in collaboration with Controlling teams.

Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to Retail Operations and cross-functional stakeholders, fostering alignment and supporting channel growth objectives.

    Your story

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, economics or equivalent Business qualification.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Controlling / Finance related field.
    • Strong analytical, financial modeling, reporting and forecasting skills.
    • Ability to navigate uncertainty and be solutions oriented.
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
