In short

As Senior Lead, Market Intelligence, you will be the architect of how On understands its playing field. You will shape the systems, standards, and stories that turn scattered signals into a single source of truth on markets, competitors, and consumer adoption. From competitive analysis to global market models, you’ll build the frameworks that give our teams clarity on where we stand today and where to move next. Partnering across Commercial, Marketing and Brand, you will bring external perspective into everyday decisions, helping us anticipate shifts, size opportunities, and sharpen our competitive edge. This role is central to ensuring On stays ahead of the curve—equipping leaders with crisp insights that guide strategy and inspire action.

Your Mission

  • Own the Market Intelligence repository - Set the architecture, taxonomy, access controls, and QA standards; keep documentation current and self-serve
  • Run the external-data portfolio and manage vendors - Own the budget for 3P data, negotiate coverage and maintain relationships with vendors, and ensure we optimize the value in our investments
  • Set the external data strategy and roadmap - Define and own plans to expand coverage in priority categories, geos, and channels
  • Steward our Global Market Model - Maintain the single source of truth for market sizing by category, region, account/channel
  • Lead competitive intelligence - Track competitor insights and define the brand set and depth of coverage; track launches, pricing, distribution, promos, and partnerships; publish battlecards and monthly market briefs (e.g., for the Run business)
  • Partner across Commercial - Work closely with teams such as Pricing, Omnichannel, Merchandising, and GTM to bring more external insights into decision-making
  • Measure runner adoption - Lead our global program to track on-foot share at races and on key routes
  • Tell the story - Build crisp, exec-ready decks and live dashboards that synthesize external signals into clear calls to action
  • Investigate and size - Lead ad-hoc deep dives on topics such as market trends, business opportunity whitespace, country/category entry, elasticity, and promo impact
  • Enable the org - Train stakeholders on tools, definitions, and how to use market insight in day-to-day decisions
