As a Senior Specialist - Innovation Concept Designer, you will create groundbreaking concepts and products for high-performance athletes while advancing On’s sustainability goals. Working in a collaborative environment, you’ll shape the future direction of our pinnacle performance product and technologies through Innovation and Design.

Your Mission

Be a key member of the Innovation Design team, pushing the limits of On’s future product design and technology platforms.
Lead projects from concept to final delivery or transition to other teams.
Collaborate closely with On’s world-class athletes and the sport science team to drive data-driven design and innovation.
Utilize your design skills to refine and co-create On’s design vision.
Develop new concepts using mock-ups, advanced prototyping, renderings and 2D/3D tools.
Work closely with development teams in Europe and Asia to create functional, performance-driven proof of concepts and products.
Innovate new workflows and leverage digital tools to accelerate prototyping and manufacturing.
Travel to Asia and Europe 2-4 times per year to collaborate with development centers.

Your story

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in product/industrial design or a related field.
5 + years of experience in global innovation teams delivering performance footwear products.
A creative mindset with a strong drive to push the boundaries of product design and innovation.
Strong interest in performance products, athlete insights and data with the ability to translate them into functional product concepts.
Expertise in data-driven design approaches and deep knowledge in manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in 2D and 3D software, sketching and mock-up creation.
Strong communication and presentation skills, thriving in cross-functional team environments.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

About the Team

You will work in the Innovation Design Studio with an international team of experts, developers, engineers across different disciplines, designing and developing the most advanced products and technologies at On. We deliver breakthrough Innovation and Design by leveraging state of the art manufacturing technologies and design tools. This team is specifically tasked with designing and developing the most exciting long-term innovation solutions into high level product concepts that are driven by Athlete Performance and Sustainability goals. To be truly disruptive in this space this team rethinks the ways our products are made from the ground up and seamlessly integrates design and technology to unlock new opportunities.
