Senior Specialist - Footwear Product Manager (Training)

In short

This role entails end-to-end obsession of the Training footwear line. Your mission is to translate athlete insights and market data into a cohesive, commercially successful product that aligns with the larger Training strategy at On. From briefing, to market insights, to color stories, to sales pitches this role covers it all. The role also entails strategic collaboration across apparel and other key verticals that are critical to the success of the product line. The Sr. Specialist role reports to the Senior Lead of Training on the Global Product Strategy team.

Your Mission

  • Create world class product briefs that balance consumer/athlete insights, key business metrics, storytelling & inspiration, consider the competitor landscape and that ladder up to the larger Training strategy.
  • Be the consumer and trend expert in the diverse and ever evolving Training landscape
  • Develop refined 365 color, graphic and material briefs aligned to seasonal business goals
  • Lead, align, and collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Innovation, Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations to ensure seamless, on-time execution of the inline collection
  • Analyze global product performance and commercial metrics, translating sell-through data and consumer feedback into actionable insights for continuous improvement and future category planning

    Your story

    • 3+ years of experience in product management (ideally in footwear) with experience in scaling commercially successful products
    • Live and breathe the fitness world; you understand the diverse needs of the training consumer and can easily identify creative product solutions
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business and consumer insights into a compelling, commercially-focused product strategy.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills to influence stakeholders and present ranges internally and externally.
    • Skilled at navigating fast-paced, creative environments with multiple priorities.
    • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

    About the Team

    The Footwear Product Strategy team sits at the intersection of all product creation functions, steering the product identity, viability, and commercial success of our collections. We balance innovation, technical excellence, and consumer needs to deliver products that strengthen brand desirability. As the Product Management team, we’re responsible for managing product creation to facilitate go to market efforts; concept to consumer. Our cross functional interaction is driven by a consumer-focused mindset to ensure we create a product line that sells in and through.
