In short

As Brand Communications Lead Oceania you will play an integral role in extending global campaigns to the Oceania region, managing media relationships and developing and implementing local Comms strategy. You will be responsible for Brand PR, Influencer and Social Media strategy to shape and grow the On brand in the region. Across all aspects of this role is the pursuit of compelling stories that resonate on a local level as part of a seamless integrated consumer journey. In close collaboration with the Global and Regional Brand Communications leads you will help us to craft impactful PR strategies that bring our local priorities to life in media.

Your Mission

  • Adapt Global stories to a local Comms strategy and roadmap, focusing on key initiatives such as product launches, events and sporting moments.

  • Partner with a local PR agency to deliver distinctive earned media coverage. Oversee media relations and develop relationships with media members, influencers, and community leaders.

  • Closely collaborate with the full Oceania Marketing team to ensure PR activities and Influencer strategies are fully integrated into wider plans.

  • Partner with the Global Social Media team to secure Social Media coverage and collaborate on roll-out.

  • Utilise your analytical skills to measure the impact of our activations and inform future plans.

  • Manage the local Comms budget and drive PR agency performance through rigorous KPIs and creative output.

    Your story

    • You have 5+ years of experience in a strategic leadership role in an in-house Communications department or Agency.

    • You have a proven track record in developing and executing impactful consumer PR campaigns from start to finish.

    • You have an eye for what makes a compelling story.

    • You have experience of adapting global or regional PR strategies for local markets.

    • You are a digital native and have worked closely with social and influencer teams.

    • You have a strong understanding understanding of active lifestyle culture, performance sports and On’s place in it.

    • You excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are interested in movement and wellbeing.

    The Marketing team brings On’s mission to ignite the human spirit through movement to life across Oceania. Our team includes B2B Marketing, DTC Retail Marketing, Events and Athlete Management, working together to build meaningful brand experiences across both On-owned and partner touchpoints. The team fosters a culture of continuous learning and holistic well-being, supporting each member to build their best self.
