As we scale our digital ecosystem, we are looking for an experienced Engineering Delivery Manager to lead our Integration and Application squad in our Retail space. You will be responsible for the seamless delivery of our micro-services architecture and retail systems, ensuring we build for high performance and scalability. Your Mission

Your role is to drive the delivery of our Integration and Application programs, fostering a modern, high-trust engineering culture focused on rapid, iterative value.

  • Lead & Empower: Manage and lead high-performing engineering squads, promoting a culture of empowerment where team members are engaged, autonomous, and making meaningful contributions.
  • Engineering Excellence: Strive for operational brilliance by inspiring teams to challenge the status quo, implementing scalable Agile processes, and ensuring a sustainable pace with high-quality output.
  • Strategic Delivery: Partner closely with Product Owners to identify deliverables, set release milestones, and clear roadblocks, ensuring technical delivery is perfectly aligned with business priorities.
  • Coach & Grow: Support the professional growth of engineers through coaching and mentoring, providing the context and tools they need to make technical decisions independently.
  • Collaborative Scaling: Work with recruiting and other engineering leaders to hire diverse talent and raise the bar for what excellence looks like at On.
  • Technical Stewardship: Oversee and owns the delivery of critical projects including POS integration, API design, retail Data ETL integrations, retail replenishment and experience, ensuring interdependencies are managed across the Tech function.

    Your story

    • Technical Leadership: 5+ years of experience within software engineering, with a proven track record of directly leading high-impact technical teams.
    • Scale & Integration: Deep experience in building and operating scalable micro-services and modern integration patterns (APIs, Event-driven architecture) in a production environment.
    • Agile Champion: You are an expert in Agile methodologies, living and breathing Scrums and Sprints to drive iterative development. Stakeholder Partner: You excel at building relationships across the organization, translating complex technical roadmaps into clear, actionable updates for stakeholders.
    • Problem Solver: You enjoy "zooming in" to help solve specific engineering hurdles and "zooming out" to optimize organizational delivery and team health.
    • Retail/E-commerce Savvy: (Preferred) Experience delivering change within retail technology or fast-paced consumer-facing systems.

    Must Haves:

    Extensive experience leading Agile squads and managing complex delivery lifecycles.

    Strong background in modern software paradigms (Micro-services, CI/CD, Cloud-native).

    Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

    A "people-first" mindset with a passion for mentoring and coaching engineers to reach their full potential.

    About the Team

    As you might expect from a sports brand, the technology team at On is a fast-paced place to be. You will be the driving force from the engineering leadership side to work with multiple cross functional squads including Mobile, Backend and QA engineers and work closely with PMs to be part of R&D mobile projects.
