Lead - Retail Merch Planning & Analytic Footwear

In short

Support one of the most exciting and fastest-growing global sports brands by leading the Footwear retail merchandising strategy across Greater China.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end planning strategy for Footwear, connecting pre-season assortment and buying decisions with in-season performance and allocation strategy. You will drive data-informed decisions making, optimize inventory productivity, and ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time.

You will play a key role in shaping the future merchandising model, developing team capacities, and contributing to high-impact initiatives such as store expansions and key product launches.

Your Mission

  • Lead seasonal assortment planning and buying strategy for footwear across retail stores in Greater China
  • Connect pre-season planning with in-season performance, ensuring strong sell-through and inventory efficiency
  • Lead and develop the footwear merchandising team
  • Strengthen allocation and replenishment strategy
  • Enable data-driven decision making by translating analysis into actionable strategies to improve performance and refining forecasting and buying accuracy
  • Partner with Retail ops, VM, marketing and Demand planning to ensure seamless execution of product launches and campaigns

    Your story

    • 8+ years of experience in merchandising or buying (preferably in sports/fashion industry)
    • Strong experience in buying, assortment planning or category management
    • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop team members
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business actions
    • Entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
    • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Language: Professional English

    About the Team

    As part of the DTC team at ON, you will work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment focused on efficient growth at high speed.

    You will lead the footwear merchandising team, working closely with footwear merchandisers, as well as cross-functional partners including Demand planning, Retail operations, VM, marketing and Merchandising from Global, Regional and Channels.

    You will also collaborate with BI and OTL functions to ensure strong visibility and control over inventory and performance.
