Head of Business & Financial Communication

In short

As the Head of Business and Financial Communications, you will be a key leader in shaping and protecting On’s reputation. Reporting to the Director of Communications for Content Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communication strategy that effectively articulates our corporate narrative, business strategy, financial performance, and other key business topics, such as design, culture, operations and technology to our key stakeholders.

Your Mission

  • Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive content strategies for all business and financial communications topics, including quarterly earnings, annual reports, and other key financial milestones, as well as broader business topics such as Design, Culture, Operations and Technology
  • In close collaboration with Finance, Investor Relations, and Legal, HR and Technology teams, contribute to On’s overall narrative, craft key messaging, communication initiatives, and high-quality content that bring On’s business strategy, financial performance, and culture to life
  • Partner with the Issues and Crisis Management team to anticipate and mitigate risks related to financial performance, market speculation, and corporate governance
  • Act as a trusted communications advisor to senior business leaders and the finance and HR function, providing strategic counsel on complex communication challenges
  • Partner with Brand PR and regional communications teams to ensure consistent business and financial messaging is delivered globally
  • Leverage data and market insights to measure the impact of our communications, monitor sentiment, and proactively shape On's corporate communications strategy

    Your story

    • You have 10+ years of experience in communications, with a strong focus on corporate communications, financial communications, or investor relations, preferably within a global, publicly-traded company
    • You have a proven ability to develop and implement successful, high-impact content strategies that translate complex business and financial information into clear and compelling narratives
    • You are a strategic leader with a proven track record of providing C-suite level counsel on business and financial communication matters
    • You have an exceptional understanding of integrated communications and the ability to align content across various channels
    • You possess an exceptional understanding of the financial markets, regulatory disclosure requirements, and the global business media landscape
    • You have outstanding writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft narratives for a wide range of audiences, from investors and analysts to employees and consumers
    • You have strong business acumen and demonstrated experience in managing high-stakes communication situations such as M&A, earnings reports, and financial issues management
    • You thrive when you don’t have all the answers, and you work autonomously to turn ideas into reality

    About the Team

    The On Communications team is responsible for stewarding On’s overarching narrative – connecting purpose, strategy, and vision into one coherent story. It is tasked with shaping, developing, and protecting On’s reputation with its stakeholders through proactive and reactive communications efforts. We work as a globally integrated team, following a one-voice principle, and serve as trusted advisors to the organization, shaping perception, building trust, and protecting our reputation. We’re big thinkers and change-makers, story-tellers and risk-mitigators, constantly questioning the status quo and finding new ideas of how to tell the story of On.
