Contractor - Material Planning Specialist (Trim and Packaging)

As an Apparel trim and Packaging Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring the right quality is shipped on time for all Apparel Materials. As a key member of the globally integrated supply chain team and cross-functional apparel organization, you will be based in Hanoi, Vietnam, with frequent travel within Asia.

Your Mission

  • Manage end-to-end materials planning: Forecast - Actual buy - Leftover - Liabilities.

  • Working with the Supply Planning team for material forecasting and sharing with T1 partners.

  • Capacity management across all T2 partners: Trim and Packaging.

  • Ensure on-time deliveries for all Materials from Material Suppliers to T1 partners: Material forecasting, order follow-up.

  • Manage suppliers' performance (on-time delivery, on-time 1st lot submission, identify delay reasons, and risk assessment for improvement) and negotiate lead time with suppliers.

  • Ensuring the Trim and Packaging are buy-ready on time and escalating the potential issue.

  • Negotiate seasonal prices for packaging materials.

  • Manage & Develop a robust trim and packaging sourcing setup in Asia

  • Develop and implement On's material planning tools with T1 and T2 partners.

  • Ensuring order book visibility through dashboards and power BI tools.

  • Consolidating booking and leftover material data from different tools and providing end-to-end visibility of material from Forecasting to material booking by T1 to T2 partners.

    Your story

    • Bachelor's degree in textile, merchandising, supply chain management or related discipline

    • 3-5 years of experience in material management or supply chain. An apparel and accessories background is preferred.

    • Willingness to learn technical trims & packaging; basic know-how of the apparel development process & its requirements is preferred.

    • Eager to learn and develop a robust system for material planning where multiple parties can collaborate (Brand, T1 & T2)

    • Keen to clean, play, and manage material booking data through different tools (Google Sheets, Power BI, Looker, Hex, PLM, Smartsheets).

    • Expertise on data management with strong analytical skills.

    -Proficiency in English and Vietnamese is a must, and Chinese is advantageous.
