Senior Lead - Global Portfolio & Pricing

In short

As the Senior Lead, Global Portfolio & Pricing within our Product Strategy team, you will be the driving force behind the upstream portfolio, margin, and pricetiering strategies for our key product franchises. Working at the intersection of product strategy, merchandising, and financial strategy, you will architect global pricing frameworks that protect brand equity, maximize profitability, and unlock new market opportunities. You will define our end-to-end pricing strategy—from initial consumer research and white-spot identification to commercial lifecycle parameters—ensuring our global product offerings are optimally positioned and commercially viable.

Your Mission

  1. Portfolio & Category Pricing Strategy
  • Global Tiering & Architecture: Define and maintain the global pricing tiering and architecture across all product franchises to ensure clear consumer navigation (product value drivers) and brand consistency
  • Global Price Lists & Ladders: Establish and own the master Global Price Lists and price ladders, ensuring seamless handovers to Regional Leads for local execution and deployment.
  • Portfolio Mix Optimization: Analyze and optimize the product portfolio mix to proactively protect and enhance target global margins.
  • Product Price Briefs: Author comprehensive product price briefs that guide design, development, and merchandising teams during the upstream creation process.
  • Markdown & Lifecycle Frameworks: Establish the global markdown framework and product lifecycle parameters to manage profitability from introduction to end-of-life.
  • Governance: Develop, curate, and present strategic content for C-level to drive alignment and executive decision-making.
  1. Insights, Research & Margin Management
  • White Spot Identification: Analyze market trends, competitor landscapes, and internal sales performance to identify "white spots" (unmet price points or product opportunities).
  • Data-Driven Performance Tracking: Monitor global sales and pricing data performance to continuously iterate and improve pricing elasticity models.
  • Consumer Pricing Insights: Utilize consumer research methodologies (e.g., Conjoint analysis, Van Westendorp price sensitivity meter) to anchor pricing strategies in commercial and consumer reality.
  1. Cross-Functional Governance & Regional Enablement
  • Regional Hand-off & Corridor Management: Successfully transition global price lists and ladders to Regional Leads, providing the necessary strategic context for them to deploy locally within authorized corridors.
  • Upstream Merchandising Alignment: Act as the key strategic partner to Merchandising and Product Strategy during early-stage planning, ensuring product concepts are designed-to-margin from the outset.
  • Global-to-Local Feedback Loops: Establish a structured feedback loop with regional trading rooms to capture local market insights, ensuring future global architectures adapt to changing regional dynamics.

    Your story

    • 8+ years of experience in Global Pricing, Product Merchandising, Commercial Strategy, or Management Consulting within a premium sportswear, fashion, or luxury consumer goods industries.
    • Proven track record of managing complex product portfolios, optimizing product mixes, and delivering gross margin expansion.
    • Quantitative Pricing Methodologies: Deep expertise in setting up, executing, and interpreting advanced quantitative pricing models—including Conjoint Analysis (Discrete Choice Experiments) and Van Westendorp Price Sensitivity Meters (PSM)—to accurately measure willingness-to-pay and consumer price elasticity.
    • Qualitative & Consumer Insights: Strong capability in designing and leveraging qualitative research frameworks (e.g., focus groups, depth interviews, and competitive benchmarking) to decode perceived product value, brand equity triggers, and consumer trade-offs.
    • Insights-to-Action Translation: Proven track record of synthesizing complex data streams from both qualitative and quantitative research into clear, actionable, and commercialized inputs for upstream Product Price Briefs.
    • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams (Product, Merchandising, Finance) and present confidently to executive boards.
    • Strategic Vision: Ability to balance high-level upstream strategic thinking with the operational realities of global-to-local market execution.
