Lead - Footwear Technical Engineer

In short

We are seeking a skilled and creative Footwear Technical Engineer to join our team. As a Footwear Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for footwear technology development and deployment end to end. You will work closely with development/commercial, production and functional teams to ensure a smooth transition from idea to execution.

Your Mission

  • Manage footwear engineering activities from development to production:Champion engineering improvements that enhance efficiency, elevate product quality, and strengthen long‐term factory partnerships.
  • Technology deployment: Deep dive into existing technologies with quality initiatives, seek for state of art technical engineering solutions which fit with On’s Premium Quality strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Maintain clear and timely communication with sourcing development, factory teams, and cross‐functional partners to ensure alignment throughout development till mass production.
  • Quality Control: Help identify potential development and engineering risks and contribute to creating practical solutions to keep the product moving forward.
  • Project management: Drive project with milestone planning, keep all stakeholders aligned in a timely manner.

    Your story

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Footwear Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 7 years’ relevant industry experience in footwear including development, manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering, and tooling engineering.
    • Solid understanding of product fabrication, tooling, materials, and manufacturing methods.
    • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and simultaneously manage several projects requiring innovative ideas and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Project management background is preferred and attention to details.

    About the Team

    You belong to the Footwear Development & Engineering Sourcing team, with close collaborations with different functions, including Footwear Creation, Product Operations, Materials, Sustainability and Costing teams.
