Senior Lead - eCommerce Buying

As we continue to expand in the Americas, we’re looking for a Senior Lead, eCommerce Buyer to lead the Buying process across all categories and support the merchandising team for our DTC E-Commerce channel. You will work closely with category merch planners, leveraging data to develop a seasonal buy plan aligned to the America’s E-Commerce commercial strategy. Your Mission

  • Lead Seasonal Buying Process: Lead the execution of the seasonal buy plan for the eCommerce business across all categories. Understand merchandise forecast strategies and the potential of a product in each digital channel while identifying gaps and risks.
  • Analyze & Report: Work closely with the in-season analytics team to understand current performance and integrate those insights into future season buying decisions.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising: Collaborate with the regional merchandising and planning teams to understand regional and channel priorities, seamlessly integrating these into the eCommerce buy plan.
  • Provide Insights: You will look forward into future seasons and provide the regional merchandising team with insights on assortment needs for the eCommerce channel to deliver against long-term commercial goals.
  • Globally align best practices: Partner closely with the Global Digital Commercial team in aligning best practices and ensuring consistency of buying approach across regions.
  • Cross Channel Alignment: Work closely with sales and merchandising leadership to uncover risks and opportunities across the product portfolio ahead of launch.
  • Innovate Processes: Seek ways to improve processes, tooling and collaboration with global and regional counterparts.
  • Product Life-Cycle Management: Ensure the right product mix and availability across On digital properties, managing product life cycle plans through end-of-life. Drive visibility and performance of hero products and key categories, balancing inventory, pricing, and promotional activities.

    Your story

    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Buying, Sales, Merchandise Planning or Sales Planning
    • 3+ years working within a commercial team ideally in the Sports or Fashion industry.
    • A strong ability to manage the art and science of buying, leveraging retail sales data where possible and connecting it to merchandising priorities.
    • Innate understanding of customer behavior, product lifecycle, market trends and how seasonality can impact product portfolio efficiency.
    • Prior experience leveraging a data analytics tool such as Looker, Google Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, SPS commerce or other preferred An organized and proactive thinker, with the ability to build process in a fast paced environment.
    • You have experience in providing direction to teams, with a focus on project-based work or informal leadership
    • Approach challenges and navigate ambiguity with curiosity and a solutions-oriented mindset.

    The Americas Digital team is a cross functional, entrepreneurial and collaborative team with a passion for putting our consumer & communities in the center of all we do. This is the regional team responsible for growing America's eCommerce share of business within the Oniverse through how we plan products, optimize the customer journey and execute campaigns that run the length of the purchase funnel.
