We are looking for a Head of Product, Retail Experience to join our team in Zurich. This is a unique role for a leader who excels at the intersection of creative technology and flawless execution. You will be the essential bridge between our Brand Design and Retail teams’ ambitious concepts and the tangible, premium experiences we deliver in our stores worldwide.   • Partner with our Brand Design and Retail leaders to deeply understand their strategic intent for the future of On’s retail environment
  • Translate creative concepts into a tangible product roadmap
  • Act as the central nervous system for retail experience, orchestrating a diverse group of internal and external partners to deliver seamless, scalable, and on-brand technological solutions
  • Be the ultimate guardian of premium execution, ensuring every element, from interactive hardware to the underlying software, meets the high standards of Swiss engineering and design that define On

Your Responsibilities

  • Vision Translation & Product Definition: Work hand-in-hand with stakeholder teams to translate creative briefs. Lead the process of defining detailed product requirements, technical specifications, and success metrics for in-store technology and experience initiatives
  • Feasibility & Solution Design: When presented with a novel concept, you will own the discovery process. You will research and partner with vendors, assess technical and operational feasibility, and present viable, brand-aligned solutions
  • End-to-End Delivery: Own and manage the product lifecycle for our portfolio of in-store experience technologies. Guide projects from initial prototyping and vendor selection through to pilot testing, global deployment, and ongoing optimization
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as the critical link between Brand Design, Engineering, IT, Store Operations, Store Design, and our global Commercial teams. You ensure clear communication, alignment, and accountability across all workstreams
  • Technical & Vendor Management: Proactively scout, vet, and manage relationships with cutting-edge technology partners and suppliers. You will be the expert on who can deliver the unique, high-quality hardware and software solutions our vision demands

    Your story

    • You have 8+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, or a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects involving both hardware and software in Global physical environments (retail, entertainment, exhibitions)
    • Deep Technical Acumen: You are fluent in the language of technology and are comfortable leading deep discussions on everything from APIs and network infrastructure to hardware engineering and manufacturing processes. You don’t need to be a coder, but you must be able to partner closely with our engineering teams
    • Innate Design & Brand Sensibility: You have keen attention to detail and a natural instinct for premium quality. You can immediately discern the difference between an execution that feels average and one that is truly elevated, intuitive, and on-brand
    • Resourceful Problem-Solver: You are energized by ambiguity and novel challenges. When the path isn't clear, your first instinct is to research, experiment, and collaborate relentlessly until you've figured out a way forward
    • Exceptional Stakeholder Management: You are an excellent communicator and collaborator, skilled at translating ambitious creative ideas into concrete technical and operational plans that diverse teams can rally behind
    • A Passion for Retail: You have a deep appreciation for the role physical retail plays in building community and brand love, and you understand the operational realities of a global store fleet

    About the Team

    You will be part of the Digital Product organization. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining our customer-facing digital experiences for e-commerce. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, content production, UX/UI design, CRM, and user research to build and optimize a platform that supports effective internal workflows and delivers a premium experience. We look for product managers that understand that consistent innovation is the result of each member of the product team contributing their passion and their ideas.
