We're looking for an experienced and passionate Head of Customs & Trade to join our global team and play a key role in supporting our continued growth.

As our Head of Customs & Trade, you'll be a vital part of ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently around the globe. You'll be responsible for setting the strategic direction for trade compliance and customs operations, ensuring we remain compliant with all relevant regulations and legislation. This includes developing and implementing robust trade compliance programs, policies, and procedures, as well as providing oversight and guidance for daily customs operations managed by your team.

You'll work closely with our global supply chain and logistics teams to identify and mitigate risks, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement. You'll also be a key point of contact for customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other service providers, ensuring seamless and cost-effective movement of goods across borders.

This role can be based in either our Zurich or Berlin offices.

Your Mission

In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring we follow all national and international trade regulations. This includes:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain trade compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for daily customs operations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Customs professionals.
  • Identify and mitigate trade compliance risks, staying ahead of changes in regulations and industry best practices.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between trade compliance and other business objectives, such as supply chain optimization and product development.

Your story

  • Degree in Business, International Trade, Law, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of trade compliance regulations and industry best practices.
  • Track record of developing and implementing successful trade compliance programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to extract insights and drive informed decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Familiarity with customs software and technology (preferred).
  • Fluent in English language.
