As a Senior Lead in Costing team, you will support the Head of Footwear Costing in driving Brand costing strategic direction and optimising product cost for footwear products. In detail, you will be responsible for maximising margin opportunities through leveraging of key levers by implementing costing standardisation and strengthening costing strategy. You will strongly coordinate and facilitate all costing-related topics internally within the Costing team and externally with other functions.

Your Mission

  • Support the Head of Footwear Costing to drive footwear costing direction and strategy and costing projects by leading communication of costing projects throughout the organisation and driving team effort to ensure implementation and execution of costing projects
  • Represent Costing function in the organisation to communicate costing initiatives and to provide costing insights, guidance and principles
  • Deliver customised costing training to the Creation & Sourcing team to drive cost consciousness and support the team to optimise product cost by leveraging the costing approach
  • Actively contribute to margin maximisation, through key levers such as Costing standardisation, Costing engineering, Pattern efficiency, Material Cost strategy and any other profitability-related initiatives with the aim to deliver product value to the consumer while improving company profitability
  • Support costing needs of brand innovations and ensure alignment on costing basic principles and manuals whenever applicable
  • Be the part of system & process enhancement to drive costing automation and process efficiency and effectiveness
  • Act as gatekeeper to ensure that all costing manuals & standards, processes & policies and costing systems are understood and correctly applied consistently by suppliers
  • Stay up-to-date on footwear industry and business trends and drivers to support proactive adjustment to the dynamic cost environment

Your story

  • You've got a degree in business, economics, accounting, engineering; you have a passion for numbers and value engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in working at a premium footwear brand with technical experience and knowledge of product construction and manufacturing methods
  • Excellent commercial sense and analytical mindset
  • Advanced project management skills with storytelling ability
  • Proficiency in both Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong price negotiation skills and impeccable integrity
  • Critical thinking and ability to challenge status quote and drive projects in a collaborative way
  • Ability to motivate and guide team to reach individual and team goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skill in a fast-paced, cross-cultural, and cross-functional environment
  • Fluency in English communication (spoken and written)
