One of the fastest-growing premium sportswear brands is seeking a highly motivated Senior Specialist to join the Global Operations Finance team. With your experience in accounting and finance business partnering in an international environment you will play a crucial part in overseeing and optimizing the financial health of Global Operations at On. Critical to the success of this role is a collaborative and inquisitive mindset and a desire to influence the growth journey of Global Operations at On.

Your Mission

  • Manage monthly and quarterly closing activities in terms of supporting variance analysis, analyzing financial performance and identifying gaps in financial processes and systems.
  • Drive core budget processes for logistics costs, including annual budget, rolling forecasts and long-range planning.
  • Provide finance business partnership to Global Warehousing and Distribution teams, in terms of preparing business cases and supporting appraisal of investment opportunities.
  • Drive improvements in critical Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss areas of On’s financial statements, namely inventories and logistics expenses.
  • Participate actively in initiatives which aim to improve important policies and guidelines e.g. inter-company accounting, inventory provisioning, changes in chart of accounts.
  • Collaborate with group accounting, internal control and internal audit experts to ensure compliance of relevant ERP processes with accounting regulations.
  • Develop and implement robust financial controls and processes to mitigate risks and ensure data integrity of inventory valuation and related transactions.
  • Interact directly with existing financial systems and reporting business intelligence applications to enhance financial accuracy and build valuable expertise for the group.

Your story

  • Proven professional experience in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or related fields.
  • Progressive experience within an international setting, with focus on managing global operations or supply chain functions from a Finance perspective.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, variance analysis, with hands on experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS), including inventory valuation accounting principles and management of key elements of P&L performance.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to directly dig into complex datasets and combine insights from different sources.
  • Excellent cross-functional team player, able to interpret complex financial data and suggest improvements that will deliver value with sustainable impact.
  • Passionate about operational excellence and maintaining highest quality standards.
  • Finance and Accounting professional certifications are considered a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
