The Centric PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system serves as the source of truth for multiple platforms across the organization. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented PLM Specialist with a focus on aligning product lifecycle management strategies with the company's Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). You will work closely with the Product Systems Lead as well as with cross functional teams. This position is a mix of project management and technical consulting skills. As an ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly dynamic setting. Your organizational and communication skills are second to none and you enjoy developing solutions that push innovative boundaries. You like working with diverse teams to strategize and to develop new levels of productivity and success at On. You will be a member of the Product Operations team and report to the Product Systems Lead.

Your Mission

  • Focus on PLM related topics, including but not limited to: system support, incident resolution, training, version updates, and seasonal/ad hoc set up
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to understand future business needs in relation to PLM functionality
  • Partner with key sustainability initiatives and create process of tracking, communicating and assisting in project management for all PLM items
  • Gain a thorough understanding behind the concept and design of Centric PLM system
  • Communicate and track technical and other user related issues with internal and external parties
  • Identify PLM capabilities for process optimization within the organization and work with the R&D teams to implement changes
  • Create and update guidelines and procedures of PLM training documents in various functions
  • Train new starters in PLM functions including but not limited to Design, Development, Product Management, Material set up, Costing and Sourcing
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on PLM tools and methodologies, providing guidance and support to teams as needed to ensure successful OKR execution.
  • Act as a liaison between the PLM team and other departments to facilitate communication, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with OKRs.
  • Review PLM adoption by cross functional teams and collaborating on system improvements and opportunities
  • Contribute to project management for phasing and system development as needed, including clear deliverables with project roadmaps, documentation, and communication

Your story

  • Bachelors Degree from a university or Equivalent
  • A minimum of 3-4 years experience in Project Management, ideally in a company with physical products
  • Strong IT skills: Centric PLM or similar software navigation/configuration experience is essential
  • Highly detailed oriented and organized
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written) as well as the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with the product development process - footwear/apparel/accessories design, construction, materials, and sourcing knowledge is a plus
  • You must be a self starter and a team player with a positive can-do attitude
  • You are a quick and independent learner, able to synthesize organizational needs and system capabilities
  • You enjoy collaborative problem solving and strive for consistency in data management
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English

The Product Operations team empowers people and productivity through meaningful collaboration and a positive mindset. We strive to rethink the status quo and grow together. We ensure the correct information flow across internal and external teams and streamline operations by managing calendars, building SOPs, implementing software (such as PLM), and synthesizing data across many channels. The team aims for operational excellence with a global mindset as On's R&D teams are located across multiple locations around the world.
