We are looking for a Lead - Workplace Construction Project Manager to contribute in shaping the future of On’s EMEA built environments from our Headquarters in Zurich.

You will be leading the development and implementation of our EMEA offices and showrooms within the Global Real Estate - Construction team, and your blend between project management, procurement, process management, negotiation skills and budget expertise will open new ways to drive On into the next growth phase.

Your Mission

Manage the entire construction process for workplace and showroom projects in the EMEA region with a special and immediate focus expansion, including project schedule, cost control and 360 coordination of all project specific stakeholders Lead internal and external project stakeholders by exhibiting a standard of excellence including architects, contractors, suppliers, and consultants to meet overall project objectives Actively analyze and manage project CAPEX from initial cost estimate through closeout Key player in supporting design and procurement in the technical evaluation of new suppliers and products, lead and manage price negotiations and provide the necessary information for calls for tenders. Collaborate within the EMEA Construction Team (retail and distribution channels) to create standards within the department, and together create the future of On’s built environment. Supervise project debriefs and develop technical quality guidelines and manuals. Ensure architectural and experiential intent are met at the highest of standards. Travel to construction sites within EMEA regularly to ensure projects are on time and on budget.

Your story

Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management High character individual with impeccable integrity and industry reputation 7+ years of experience in managing multiple construction projects (retail, workplace, or other complex architectural projects) simultaneously, including directly managing bidding and negotiation with Contractors Premium experience on projects of varying sizes with high complexity and visibility Highly motivated, capable of working in a self-driven, entrepreneurial environment Independent and self motivated Team player with ability to work and interface with all levels of the organization Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and project awareness while never losing sight of the big picture Working knowledge of architecture-specific design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and project management software such as Asana and MS Project Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in another language is an advantage. Willingness and ability to travel within the EMEA region

About the Team

As you might expect from a running brand with an emphasis on premium design and performance, the EMEA Construction Team, within the greater Real Estate and Development Team at On, is a fast-paced place to be.

Our rapidly expanding team packs a huge punch and leads construction projects in retail (DTC, B2B, Distributors) as well as workplace (offices and showrooms), from market analysis and strategy to concepts to final delivery.

You will be responsible for all aspects of Workplace Construction from initial lease survey through handover to the user (our On teams), ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget at the highest design standards. You will be a key driver of innovation and optimization of project management best practices whenever possible.

Together we shape the architecture, behavior, culture, and future of the On community. With ambitious and innovative projects in the pipeline, the team is looking for its next all-star!
