On is looking for a business-oriented, pragmatic, and proactive trademark lawyer to join the On Legal Team in Zurich, Switzerland reporting to the Head of Intellectual Property.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of independently and efficiently managing a large, diverse and complex workload of trademark and IP related matters on a global scale. Someone with experience from both law firm and in-house and who enjoys day-to-day and hands-on work as well as leading and executing strategic projects and initiatives.

Your Mission

  • Advise business stakeholders on all aspects of trademark related matters
  • Manage global trademark portfolios, including clearance, filing strategies, and prosecution matters
  • Manage oppositions, cancellations, and other contested proceedings and litigations around the world
  • Manage enforcement actions and support brand protection efforts
  • Draft and negotiate co-existence, settlement, and license agreements
  • Develop and implement guidelines and strategies related to trademarks
  • Raise awareness and hold trainings with internal and external stakeholders on trademark related topics

Your story

  • At least 8 years of experience working as a lawyer at law firms and/or as an in-house counsel
  • Independently and efficiently manage a large, diverse and complex workload of trademark and IP related matters on a global scale (experience with registered designs is a plus)
  • Hands-on experience in handling global trademark matters, from clearance and prosecution to enforcement actions
  • Experience in managing large number of complex oppositions, cancellations, and other contested proceedings and litigations
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating agreements such as global co-existence, license and settlement agreements
  • Enjoys handling day-to-day and hands-on activities as well as leading and executing strategic projects and initiatives
  • Adapt easily to fast-moving and changing projects, prioritizing and triaging effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently but also in a team environment
  • Business fluent in English
