Your Mission

Your mission is to drive the robotics engineering and programming with regard to new automated manufacturing and branding technologies. Next to team members that explore process and product ideas, you are an expert setting up the robotic environment for automated manufacturing of sports goods. By using your interdisciplinary mechanical and process engineering know-how, you construct new manufacturing solutions, (e.g. inspired by other industries) to break boundaries regarding the ease, speed, agility and sustainability of sports good manufacturing. With an entrepreneurial mindset and your hands on mentality, you’ll work independently and flexibly, tackling challenging projects from concept to practical implementation and scale up. Through continuous innovation, you’ll push the boundaries of materials, technology, and processes, while keeping the big picture in mind.)

  • Design, program, and integrate robotic systems for manufacturing innovations.
  • Optimize and streamline the generation of robotic code from design through to kinematic implementation
  • Implement a global ecosystem for managing robot code and version control across all locations
  • Design and implement automation strategies with advanced control algorithms to optimize production processes
  • Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to test and refine robotic solutions.
  • Analyze data to continuously improve robotics performance and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in automation and manufacturing.

Your story

  • +5 years experience as engineer in the tech industry
  • Passion for process and product development and hands-on mentality
  • Proven track record of completing projects building machines with your own hands, automating processes or anything else that will impress us
  • Advanced expertise in scripting for automation, particularly using tools such as Python and Robot Operating System (ROS)
  • Practical expertise in control algorithms, including fuzzy logic or machine learning, and their integration at the PLC level.
  • You have an innovative mindset with a strong drive to pushing the boundaries of product and process engineering
  • You have experience in managing external development stakeholders to develop and scale up new manufacturing technologies
  • You are able to work independently under a deadline on several projects simultaneously requiring both innovative ideas and engineering problem-solving
  • You have excellent communication skills and comfort adapting communication style between engineers, designers, product experts and cross-functional non-product creation partners

About the Team

The Innovation team is responsible for On’s future products, out-of-the-box thinking and athlete-informed technology that differentiates On’s products in the market. Within the Innovation team you will join the Process & Technology team which is focused on concept creation for novel manufacturing processes and products. You will have the opportunity to be part of an agile and interdisciplinary department of engineers, scientists and designers. We foster a fast-paced environment with direct decision making and the freedom to design projects and processes.
